We've won the seat that will take the voices, the needs and the concerns of our 65th District to the California State Assembly.

Together, we've shown that close listening, hard work, and a passion for what's right can overcome assumptions that we have to settle for anything less from our elected leaders.

Our campaign's simple but clear message was that this district deserved representation by someone who would take the time to meet the families living and working within the communities he or she sought to represent. Someone who would take our constituents' stories and values to the capitol and pursue their priorities. Thanks to many of you, our district's residents received that message and voted accordingly.

I am so honored that you have demonstrated your faith and trust in me with encouragement and extraordinary support throughout this campaign.

That - and tremendous teamwork - carried us steadily across the finish line on Election Day.

I am enormously proud of the staff, interns and volunteers who worked thousands of hours for this campaign.

This campaign was never about me, it was about "we," and I give you my word that I will put your interests above any affiliation or personal opportunity when I get to Sacramento. It's what I've done in my local community of Fullerton and what I will continue to do for the 65th Assembly District.
